Company secures 45 jobs and strengthens market position in medical technology
On 1 February 2025, the WECUBEX GROUP takes over SiSS GmbH, which had to file for insolvency in October 2024. The takeover saved 45 jobs. The site is to be developed into a centre of excellence for machining and stainless steel products within the WECUBEX GROUP. With this strategic acquisition, the Group is expanding its portfolio, particularly in the field of medical technology.
"By taking over SiSS GmbH, we are not only securing valuable expertise and modern production capacities, but also giving many highly qualified specialists long-term prospects," explains Tobias Höhnlein, Managing Director of the WECUBEX GROUP. "Our aim is to develop the site into a leading centre for machining within our Group."
SiSS was a respected specialist for many years, particularly in the field of medical technology. Its insolvency in October 2024 came as a surprise and left the company facing an uncertain future. However, the WECUBEX GROUP recognised the potential and decided to take over the company. "SiSS's expertise is an excellent fit with our existing range of services," Höhnlein continues. “By integrating it into our corporate structure, we are creating synergies and can offer our customers even more comprehensive solutions.”
In future, the SiSS site will act as a centre of excellence for machining within the WECUBEX GROUP. "We will make targeted investments in machines, processes and employee training in order to further expand our production capacities," announces Höhnlein. In particular, the production of stainless steel components for medical technology will remain a central focus.
With this acquisition, the WECUBEX GROUP is consistently pursuing its growth strategy and strengthening its market position in a demanding and technologically challenging area. The employees of SiSS GmbH look forward to the future with renewed confidence.
